What Is Above the Grass Planning™?
04 Aug 2015
Do you have a plan prepared in the event you are still alive but unable to act on your own behalf? Who is going to handle your affairs?
This process of planning for your future by establishing the necessary foundational legal documents is what we like to refer to as, Above the Grass Planning™. You cannot just assume that it will be your closest loved ones, or your spouse, or your child who will handle your affairs. To take away any ambiguity, we recommend that you designate powers of attorney for specific items, such as legal, financial, and health-care issues.
A part of our Comprehensive Financial Solutions™, the Recurring Review Cycle™ program includes a review of your foundational legal documents, which we can help you to structure in coordination with an attorney, if necessary. Those documents include:
- Durable Power of Attorney for Legal and Financial matters
- Durable Power of Attorney for Medical and Health matters, including HIPAA compliance
- Living Will (also known as a Health Care Directive)
- Revocable Living Trusts
